At the funeral of William Jnr in 1882 40 members of the East Kent Yeomanry, commanded by Major Tynte and Capt. F.A.Mackinnon, paid the last mark of respect and esteem to their deceased comrade by following him to the grave on Wednesday (27/12/1882).
