Biography
 1929 The marriage took place on Saturday at SS. Mary and Eadburgh, Lyminge of Miss Lily Caroline Field, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs Field. of Hill View, Eachendhill, and Mr. George Hogben of North Elham. The Rt. Rev. Bishop Knight officiated and the best man was Mr. S. G. Field, brother of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in a beautiful ivory satin dress, with veil and coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet or yellow chrysanthemums and heather (the gift of the bridegroom). The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Field (sister), and Miss Irene Vidler (friend) wore champagne crepe-de-chine dresses and hats to match, and carried pink and white chrysanthemums. The child attendants were Misses Brenda and Joyce Field, sisters of the bride, in blue silk frocks and blue mob caps, and carrying baskets of fern and white heather. The bridesmaids wore gold brooches, and the small attendants gold bangles, the gift of the bridegroom. The church was decorated with chrysanthemums and palms.
